MEET YOUR PHYSIO

FOUNDER AND SPECIALIST PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Nick Charlish

Nick has practised as a Sports Physiotherapist for over a decade and is a specialist in chronic pain.

He qualified as a physiotherapist in 2013 with a BSc in Physiotherapy before moving to London in 2016 to complete an MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine.

He is passionate about understanding and optimising biomechanics at a whole-body level, and furthered this knowledge by studying ConnectTherapy in Vancouver. In simple terms, this means understanding how the movement in one part of the body will impact another.

This led to him seeing more chronic and complex cases and he saw first hand the failings of an approach that only considered the physical…

Nick saw person after person that were still stuck in pain, unable to get back to the sport they loved despite exhausting all traditional options.

A pattern began to emerge where specialists and physios had only considered the physical aspect of their recovery. Only paying attention to what is going on in their body, but not the system as a whole.

Seeing this, Nick strengthened his knowledge in the most common cause for chronic pain by training and becoming certified as a Pain Reprocessing Therapy practitioner.

He uses this alongside his movement, sports rehab knowledge to deliver a complete rehab process from chronic pain back to sporting performance.
